The Team Gleason Foundation was founded by former New Orleans Saints player, Steve Gleason, after his ALS diagnosis in 2011. Since Team Gleason’s inception, the organization has made a significant impact on the lives of people living with ALS in all 50 states. Steve and Team Gleason continue to push the boundaries of what is possible in living with ALS. Whether it be partnering with the world’s largest tech companies, challenging legislation, innovating technology, or creating life-changing experiences, the group strives to find solutions where others see only problems.

Team Gleason currently employs three UNO graduates which include their Executive Director. The Foundation also partners with UNO's College of Business Administration and with the Film and Theater Program to provide internship opportunities for undergrad and graduate students.
