Eurofins Central Analytical Laboratories has supported organizations for over 48 years on a local, national, and global basis to assist with their food safety and analytical testing needs. Eurofins Central Analytical has the experience, equipment resources, and trained staff to provide the highest quality analytical and technical support. Our Chemists are experienced in solving real-life problems.

Our teams have supported important food safety projects such as testing of coastal seafood during the Deepwater Horizon Oil spill, testing of imported seafood for illegal antibiotics residues, testing of melamine residues in pet food, testing of inorganic arsenic in baby foods and food ingredients, testing for trace levels of radioactivity in food products.

Eurofins CAL is a core and primary strategic partner with the University in the mutual interest to 1) Provide unique bioanalytical research and technical testing service to support global customers in the food, pharma, agricultural, and dietary supplement markets.  Eurofins’ global customer base is wide and includes governmental agencies, large food manufacturers and ingredient suppliers, 2) Bring special bioanalytical research projects from these companies to the University. The university instrument capabilities, faculty resources, student labor, and Eurofins participation would significantly enlarge our respective individual resources,  3) Allow donations of Eurofins instrumentation to university researchers, and extend our experience in environmental and food analysis to university researchers, 4) Provide teaching resources to the university from our experienced scientists in the form of seminars and possibly adjuncts, 5)Hire undergraduates, undergraduate interns, graduates, and graduate student interns. Nearly 50%of our current laboratory staff are UNO Graduates.
